Sen. Tom Cotton: Barack Obama Has A Reality Problem That His Tired Old Policies Are Failing

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) joined Kilmeade and Friends this morning to discuss the speech he made last night at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Sen. Cotton, who served in the U.S. Army, recapped some of the main points of his speech, with support of our veterans being one of them. He said:

I wanted to speak about our troops and their families and what they do to serve us and what we need to do to serve them and unfortunately we simply haven’t done that over the last 8 years. Barack Obama has cut defense by more than a trillion total dollars and Hillary Clinton has made it clear that she will continue that devastating policy a policy.

Sen. Cotton also addressed the highly controversial Iranian deal and how Iran could become “nuclear Iran” sooner than later, saying:

In the end whether some of these restrictions are lifted in 10 years or 15 years to me is not so consequential a matter, because 10-15 years is still the blink of an eye in the life of a nation. North Korea tested its first nuclear weapon 12 years after the last Clinton in the White House cut a similar deal with them. I’m more concerned with the underlying facts of the deal which that it allows Iran to have a vast nuclear infrastructure to perfect a lot of the scientific techniques necessary to produce a nuclear weapon and puts them on the path to a nuclear bomb.

Sen. Cotton also discussed what we need to do to defeat ISIS, and when asked if he’d ever consider running for president, he quoted Bob Gates with “I never say never to any opportunity to serve our country in any capacity.” Listen below:
