In this special battleground state edition of The FOX News Rundown: Evening Edition, FOX’s Aishah Hasnie takes a look into the extremely close Michigan Senate race.
The tight 2026 U.S. Senate race in Michigan features Republican former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers and Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed, with a recent Fox News Poll showing a statistical dead heat at 50% for El-Sayed and 49% for Rogers. As the midterm campaign enters it final week, Mike Rogers looks to be building a powerful ground game and expanding coalitions in key areas like Detroit. Meanwhile, Democratic opponent Abdul El Sayed looks to be struggling to connect with core voter groups on the trail.
Matt Whitlock, Senior Vice President of CRC Advisors, joins the podcast and says Rogers still has work to do but Michigan voters could be showing they are having issues with El-Sayed’s character combined with what can be described as anti-American comments.
