As ceremonies take place across Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, we reflect on how the tragic events unfolded in real time. The first-ever Republican Midterm Convention has wrapped in Dallas, with night two featuring emotional moments of remembrance for the victims of 9/11 and conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Vice President JD Vance used his keynote address to make a direct appeal to voters who remain undecided or uncertain about the Republican Party heading into November. President Trump also took the stage for closing remarks and urged attendees to pledge their support for Republicans in the midterm elections.
