Evening Edition: Honoring the Heroes of ‘United Flight 93’
This week marks 25 years since the 2001 terror attacks that took the lives of almost 3,000 people. Memorials pay tribute, like the one in a rural part of Pennsylvania, the site where the heroes of ‘United Flight 93’ gave their lives to stop the terrorists on 9/11. in addition to large-scale memorials at the attack sites in lower manhattan and at the pentagon, the Flight 93 national memorial near Shanksville, Pennsylvania is a little different, it’s a sacred place for those left behind.
FOX’s Tonya J. Powers speaks with Donna Gibson, the Executive Director of the Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial, who details the power and importance of the hallowed ground in Shanksville, PA.
