As the 25th anniversary of September 11th approaches, world-renowned architectDaniel Libeskinddepicts how he became the architect for the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site.Born to Holocaust survivors in a Polish homeless shelter, Daniel didn’t complete his first building until age 52. Yet, his vision for what he calls “memory foundations” was chosen out of 5,200 entries to redesign the 16-acre World Trade Center site.
