Former GOP National Spokesperson Elizabeth Pipko joins Fox Across America With guest host Paul Gleiser to shed light on the political risks President Trump is taking by continuing to put economic pressure on Iran.
“I think no one also is more aware of the fact that midterms are coming up and that a lot is on the line. Let’s not forget He knows better than anybody else what happens if you lose midterms just, personally to him. Of course he’s worried about his agenda as well but he knows what it looks like when Democrats try to throw phony impeachments at him and make his personal life difficult not just stand in the way of his agenda which he was elected to implement. So I think he’s incredibly aware and I think because of that he actually deserves an extreme amount of credit for putting his political capital on the line risking it all. Knowing that what’s going on in Iran was going to make things harder going into midterms, was going to make his economy not as good as it otherwise could be and I think will be when the conflict is behind us. And so obviously the Democrats want to jump on anything that they can because they are also so unpopular if you look at the numbers I don’t think they’ve ever been this unpopular those numbers do not compare to the approval ratings of the president, so I think they have really nothing left but to continue saying Donald Trump is bad but saying he’s making it himself or saying anything to do with midterms. As if he’s not more aware than them that he needs to win this November and doesn’t deserve incredible credit for putting anything to do with his own personal life really aside to try to fix the future of our country for many generations, I think is laughable. Democrats have nothing left, but I will continue to make sure people understand that this had to be done. He knew it had to me done, and he would not have done it if he was focused on midterms and being a Republican or a winner. He’s solely focused on being the best leader he can be for the American people. Sometimes that means putting a lot on the line and risking it all with an election coming up, and I’m proud to know that he has done that.”
