Evening Edition: What Was Accomplished At The Latest NATO Summit?
Last week’s NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey was the latest testing ground for whether or not America’s allies are making meaningful investments in their own defense so the alliance is prepared to meet evolving security challenges. President Trump came in hot at the summit claiming that NATO allies failed two key tests as he derided the lack of international cooperation on the conflict with Iran, and his aspirations for the U.S. to purchase Greenland. FOX’s Jonathan Savage speaks with Matthew Whitaker, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, who shares the positive takeaways from the summit and how he feels European Allies are finally stepping up on their own defense.
