President Trump Considering Removing The U.S. From NATO

President Trump said he is weighing a potential US withdrawal from NATO, citing frustration with allies over their response to the Iran conflict. Spain’s defense minister called the war in Iran illegal and unjust. Italy has blocked landing rights to U.S. warplanes at a key airbase in Sicily, and Poland says they have no plans to send Patriot air defense systems to the Mideast. Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed that sentiment on the FOX News Channel this week saying if the U.S. cannot use NATO bases, then NATO is a ‘one-way street.’

FOX’s John Saucier speaks with Ivo Daalder, Former U.S. Ambassador to NATO and Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center, who says the tensions among NATO nations has never been worse.
