Leader John Thune on Dem Vote to Block Voter ID: “The Hypocrisy On This Knows No Bounds”
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), longtime Senator from South Dakota and majority leader since January 2025, joined us on the Guy Benson Show today to discuss the ongoing debate surround the DHS shutdown and the SAVE Act. On the DHS shutdown, Leader Thune called out Democratic “hypocrisy” on their refusal to accept concessions made by the Republicans as Democratic Senators continue to demand large-scale ICE reform. Majority Leader Thune also discussed the blockage of a vote for voter ID as a separate vote from the SAVE Act, which was subsequently blocked by Democrats, and you can listen to the full interview below!
