Comedian Dave Landau joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on why viewership for the 98th Academy Awards on ABC and Hulu was down 9% from last year.
“Well, we also have to produce movies. Look, I understand that a lot of what Hollywood produces is crap, but when all you can do is make angel pictures, no offense, guys, if you want to put me in something, but we can’t give all the awards to that either. What is funny to me though, is like Sinners, anything that you have at that award show, as long as it involves devil worship or sinning or whatever it is, they’re all about it, but if you pitch like Passion of the Christ or the sequel that’s coming out, the Easter one that Mel Gibson’s making, they’re completely against it. They’re like, this is unbelievable that you would even bring this up. But every single movie that’s like, this one’s about the devil and vampires that worship the devil, they’re like yeah, we’re good, we can fund that. That’s what we do here.”
