Elections Correspondent for The Federalist Brianna Lyman joins Fox Across America With guest host Paul Gleiser to share her thoughts on when people in the U.S. are really going to start to feel the true impact of President Trump’s economic policies.
“President Trump will has more ability to speak to that point come January when the provisions from the one big beautiful bill begin to kick in and we see some relief. We see no tax on tips, for example. Those are things that will have tangible impact and will give President from something to talk about. I also think it’s important to remember that the policies President Trump has focused on are a lot of long-term policies. So it’s unsurprising that you haven’t seen them all necessarily kick in, AKA things like tariffs, right? But President Trump is focused on realigning the United States in every capacity, and that’s not gonna be an instantaneous change. Of course, the problem with that is that voters do want instantaneous change come November. And I do think President Trump is also working on the right path for things like that as well. Inflation is coming down. I do have faith that by the summertime, we will actually feel a price change, and that’ll be good for Republicans, on top of them being able to say, look guys, this is just what we got done in the short term. Here’s what we’re going to do in the long term if you reelect us.”
