Chairwoman Lisa McClain, who represents Michigan’s 9th District and currently serves as Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, joined The Guy Benson Show today to discuss tonight’s presidential address from Donald Trump and why she expects him to set the record straight on affordability and the accomplishments of the Trump administration. McClain weighed in on Democratic messaging around the economy, arguing that Democrats are trying to take credit for fixing problems that they themselves have created, particularly on healthcare and affordability issues. McLaughlin also discussed the broken promises of Obamacare and why Republicans are focused on lowering premiums and expanding choice for consumers. Finally, Benson and Rep. McClain discussed the importance of private-sector job growth over government-subsidized employment as the country works to climb out of the economic hole left by the Biden administration.
