Arizona Republican Congressman Andy Biggs joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on how we can move forward as a nation following the shocking assassination of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk in Utah last week.
“Well, first of all, you know, we’re all going through the stages of grief, I suppose. I mean, you now, today, I’m angry, I mean I’m angry that this happened. It’s taken a while for me to actually realize that it’s real, that Charlie is going to be gone. But I think, and I’ve said this for a long time, I don’t want retribution, but what needs to happen is justice. So wrongdoers have to pay the price, and when they pay the price. It takes the pendulum, and we’re seeing the pendulum kind of fall a little bit back, but you’ve got to get to equilibrium where everybody can actually have a conversation, disagree, but have a conversation perhaps. You still can’t get there. I mean the fact that we can’t have an oral prayer on the floor of the House of Representatives for Charlie Kirk, I mean, does that not bespeak the difficulty that it is to actually bring this back to rationality and equilibrium?”
