Baby Bonus?
President Trump has a plan to fight low birth rates and it pays…
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
Birth rates in the US are trending downward and the administration is eyeing a possible solution, the “baby bonus.”
Yes, the White House is seriously considering an incentive program of $5,000 per delivery to boost declining birth rates.
This comes after policy experts and advocates have been meeting with White House aides to conceive- no pun intended- new plans to convince women to pump out more children.
Other options could include education programs on fertility or special scholarship considerations for applicants who are married with children.
Now look, this sounds like a good idea, in theory. If financial strain is putting a damper on growing families, a little monetary aid could go a long way in making it a little easier.
HOWEVER, the notion the government could potentially dole out dollars to folks just for having a baby seems like it could go very wrong very easily.
Money doesn’t always translate to good parenting and a cash for conception plan seems a little risky!
