Host of “My View with Lara Trump” Lara Trump joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give her take on what’s really behind recent news reports detailing Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s reported involvement in a second Signal group chat.
“Back in the good old days, whenever people had a source that source was willing to come forward and stake their reputation and their name on whatever information they were divulging. If you’ve noticed, since the day Donald Trump came down the golden escalator in Trump Tower, those sources have for some reason or another, and we can all speculate as to why, wanted to remain anonymous. And what that generally tells you when you have an anonymous source, and I think I’ve heard my father-in-law say this plenty of times, it usually means it’s fake. It usually means that it’s made up. And these people know that what they’re giving to the press outlets is not true. It’s not truthful, and it’s only meant to damage someone’s reputation, sling mud at someone and hopefully ruin their life and their career. They tried it with Donald Trump and that was kind of where they started off this whole thing and clearly it didn’t work for him. Pete Hegseth, I think I saw him earlier today at the Easter egg roll was asked about this and he said, it’s not gonna work for me either. So, you guys can keep trying this. I’m going nowhere, we have a job to do and we’re focused on that job. But the second you see the words anonymous source you might as well go ahead and write off whatever follows them, you know, by way of these quote unquote journalists.”
Jimmy and Lara also talk about President Trump’s appearance at the White House Easter Egg Roll. Listen to the podcast to hear the full segment!
