“You’ve got the extension of the tax package. You have reform for things like Medicaid. Why should we as a federal government be paying for working age adults in states like New York who are on Medicaid when the program was designed for women, for children, for those with disabilities? My sister is a doctor who delivers babies. A lot of her patients are Medicaid patients. We need to preserve the resources and the program for them. And look, if you’re a working-age adult, you need to get to work, get a better plan, move up in the world a little bit and we can garner savings there. We’re gonna unleash American energy by getting back to the leasing sales of onshore and offshore drilling leases. We’re going to do things with spectrum that allow both the commercial side and the DOD side to really move into the next technological jump. I mean, these are all part of the package. But suffice it to say, we’re going to extend the tax cuts, we are going to save money by reforming certain programs, and we’re gonna make sure that the border is secure by putting resources into border security, not just for these four years, but for decades to come.”
