Kentucky Republican Congressman and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on the hypocrisy of Democratic opposition to his legislation aimed at fast-tracking President Trump’s government reorganization plans.
“Every one of them tried to do this. And Nancy Pelosi even supported this when Obama was president. And we’re marking up this bill as we speak. Representative Pressley from Boston, you know, she and I disagreed on many instances already, this this Congress. She tried to make an argument against my bill, by saying that eliminating the Department of Education could lead to white only water fountains again. I mean, this is this is the nonsense that the left is spewing to their to their base. They don’t have any ideas. They don’t acknowledge that there’s any problem whatsoever with government, that there’s not a penny of waste, fraud or abuse. All they want to do is protect the bureaucracy and the bureaucrats. And I hope the American people are seeing it. I mean, we’ve got a president that’s trying to do the hard work of fixing our broken government, getting rid of unnecessary spending. And, you know, he’s having to fight the Democrats, he’s having to fight the liberal media, and he’s unfortunately having to fight a few Republicans.”
