Elections Correspondent for The Federalist Brianna Lyman joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on the counterproductive nature of the ways in which a number of Democratic lawmakers are expected to protest President Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night.
“First of all, all these Democratic representatives, they don’t just represent Democrats. They do represent Republicans and independents, even if they didn’t get their vote. So it’s insulting to your own constituents that you’re going to walk out on a leader who represents their interests. Second of all, I don’t expect to see some kind of Nancy Pelosi type ripping because there’s no opportunity for that kind of visual. But Democrats are talking about bringing eggs because they want to talk about egg prices. It is insulting to our intelligence when we know that egg prices were on the rise because of Biden administration policies slaughtering all those chickens. Donald Trump has been in office for six weeks and we’re supposed to believe that he is responsible solely?”
