Two Trump Allies Announce Gubernatorial Bids
Two Trump Allies announce their bids for governor.
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
It’s been quite the week for campaign announcements.
This week both Florida Congressman Byron Donalds and Trump campaign surrogate and DOGE founding member Vivek Ramaswamy announced they’d be running for governor and both quickly got President Trump’s stamp of approval.
Donalds will be running to succeed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the upcoming 2026 gubernatorial race. Even before the official announcement, President Trump posted his full endorsement saying, “RUN BYRON, RUN!
Donalds is a likely favorite for the spot, but there are rumblings that Governor DeSantis’ wife and the first lady of Florida, Casey DeSantis, may also be eyeing a run.
Over in Ohio, Trump’s former primary contender turned surrogate Vivek Ramaswamy also announced his intentions to run in 2026 saying he wants Ohio to be the top state in the country, and especially in the area of educational excellence.
With a pair of Trump endorsements in hand, things are already looking good for both Donalds and Ramaswamy.
