I’m all about saving the planet and the turtles, but the paper straw mandate has got to go!
In yet another reversal of Biden era BS, Donald Trump announced he will undo the Biden paper straw initiative and bring back the plastic straws to a glass or cup near you!
If you recall, Biden jumped on board a plan to totally phase out plastic straws and other single-use plastics by 2027, but that endeavor is on ice now, according to President Trump’s social media post.
Look, plastic pollution is a real problem and I’m totally fine using paper or reusable items where it makes sense, but the thing about the paper straws is, they don’t work!
The dissolve, the bend, they break they defeat the purpose of the straw experience, in general!
Call me crazy and reckless, but I think we can reduce our ecological footprint, save the turtles, AND use straws that actually function as straws!
Common sense and easy sipping are back!
