Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS), Chairman of Armed Services Committee, discussed how grateful he is for how Elon Musk and his team are exposing the outrageous spending of U.S. tax dollars. Wicker says it is absolutely insane we have been paying things such as transgender operations in Islamic countries.
Responding to democrats protesting the shutting down of USAID, Wicker says if it is illegal the courts will step in. Wicker believes we need a foreign aid program that assists America in combating China’s Belt and Road initiative.
Wicker also discussed his plan “Restoring Freedom’s Forge: American Innovation Unleashed” which outlines critical reforms that DOD and Congress could enact to pull defense budgeting and acquisition into the 21st century. Wicker broke down how they would use budget reconciliation to pass real savings in all areas of the budget to strengthen the border and beef up national defense.
Wicker believes the House and Senate are committed to working with President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to build up the border and defense to make America so strong that Russia and China stand down and realize it would be fruitless to take a stab at America.
