Douglas Murray joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss President Trump addressing the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Murray says he expected Trump to go full blast speaking to Davos because he learned the tricks the financial elites play and how manufacturing companies have taken advantage of America. On Trump having a mandate in this term, he will use this as an opportunity to say there’s a new sheriff in town and they can decide if they want to play by the sheriff’s rules or not. Murray’s suspicion is that the financial leaders will realize they have to change and adapt to President Trump and stop pretending Trump is a fascist.
On the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Murray believes there is a settlement that will be made and it will require security assurances for Ukraine. Murray is encouraged President Trump is leaning on Putin and Russia by threatening economic sanctions. With the Middle East, Murray believes Trump will do to Iran what he is threating Russia with, snuff them out economically for using Hamas in a proxy war against Israel.
