Biden claimed that border numbers have improved under his administration, a claim that Melugin called “an alternate reality.” Melugin also provided updates on the California wildfires, including the arrest of a Mexican illegal migrant near one blaze with a blowtorch. Melugin had this to say on Biden’s “jaw-dropping” border comments:

“I honestly don’t even know what to say to that. It is such an alternate reality that it’s it’s just jaw dropping that he would make such a claim. Look, everybody knows it’s not true. The data shows it’s not true. As soon as he took office, they shot up like a rocket ship. We had back to back to back three years in a row, the highest illegal crossings ever recorded, the highest database ever recorded, the highest migrant dance ever recorded. No matter how you slice it.”
