Martha MacCallum Weighs in on the Trump-Obama Exchange, the California Wildfires, and Notre Dame’s Big Win
Martha MacCallum, executive editor and anchor of The Story and co-anchor of Fox News Politics, joined The Guy Benson Show today discuss the rapidly moving news cycle kicking off 2025, including the NOLA terrorist attack and California wildfires. Guy and MacCallum highlighted the LA mayor Karen Bass’ leadership failure by not being present during the fires. Martha also shared insights from Jimmy Carter’s funeral–like Trump’s seemingly cordial conversation with Obama and other body language observations among former presidents and Kamala Harris. MacCallum had this to say on the Trump-Obama exchange at Jimmy Carter’s funeral:
“I was so fascinated watching this… One of the things that we know about President elect Trump, he loves to talk like having people over and talking and getting on the phone and having meetings… he would have a level of respect, I expect, for Obama.. I think he would appreciate the moment to sort of pick his brain and have a chat with. And they both seem to be enjoying talking to each other and they you know what? They have something to offer each other.”
