Elections Correspondent for The Federalist Brianna Lyman joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on how politicians in California could have better prepared the state for the wildfires that have been devastating Los Angeles County.
“This kind of epitomizes why Donald Trump is the right man for the job, because Donald Trump is a business owner. That’s his bread and butter, and he understands that he has a stake in his business. Right? So he would have done anything to keep Trump Organization, Trump Tower or what have you alive and well. That means preemptively taking steps to prevent any kind of catastrophe. Right? He’s applying that method to the country because the country to him is what he’s focused on. So that’s why he says to California, hey, look, you know, right now there’s not a forest fire or a wildfire, but there could be one. So let’s do steps to mitigate it. Democrats don’t view America that way. They don’t view America as something that you should invest in and shoulders like this longevity or the possibility of longevity. So they don’t see an urgent necessity. And when it comes down to it and when, you know, unfortunately, wildfires happen, they want to pretend like this just came out of thin air. That, you know, we couldn’t have prevented it because it’s climate change. Except, you know, we have no water to fight because my policies, things like that.”
Jimmy and Brianna also talk about the terrible optics of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass initially being in Ghana when the fires broke out in Southern California. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
