Retired NYPD Inspector and FOX News Contributor Paul Mauro joins FOX Across America With Jimmy Failla to discuss the investigations into the terror attack in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the Tesla explosion outside of Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Terrorism is how terrorists talk to the world. Right. And so they want their message to be delivered. Anybody who’s ever interviewed, one of them will tell you the problem is not getting them to talk. It’s getting them to shut up. Wow. Because you want to keep them focused and they tend to start ranting and raving about American policy and the history and going back to the caliphate and in the year six, whatever. So 600, whatever. So you know, it you have to say to yourself, if the second one, the Vegas event is a terrorist attack, which it is a terrorist attack, by the way, of whatever variety, depending on how you, you know, sort of define it. But that said, is it an ISIS inspired event or an ISIS directed event that is linked to the events in New Orleans? At this point, I got to agree with the deputy director that gave the press conference today. We just don’t see those facts. The motivations appear to be different. The operational tactics are completely different. Yeah. The explosives that were used seem to be different deeds that were used down in New Orleans that were planted or apparently nail bombs in pipes wanting to do their reporting. Now, I’m going by what the bureau has told us. So that being the case, I see a lot of daylight between the two events. I know there are coincidences. And as I said earlier on, Outnumbered. It’s a very sort of cinematic thing to say. To say I don’t believe in coincidences. As an investigator and blah blah, blah. But the truth of the matter is, if you’ve really done a career of investigations, you know, they all have coincidences. They all have blind alleys that look really good and that you end up later on saying, that was wrong.”
