Former Acting ICE Director Jonathan Fahey joins Fox Across America With guest host Rich Zeoli to share his analysis on how the incoming Trump administration can quickly get the situation at the U.S. southern border under control.
“The first thing should be remain in Mexico goes back into effect and that will deter anyone that comes over from seeking asylum. They’ll have to wait in Mexico. That was probably one of the most brilliant things I think Stephen Miller came up with it, was, hey, if you want to claim asylum, we’re not against that. But you wait in Mexico and we’ll adjudicate your case. So I think that should be number one. I think number two is they need to figure out different ways to attack these sanctuary cities, not literally attack them, but attack them with, you know, withholding funding and other things to disincentivize them to continue being sanctuary cities. And, you know, the third one is you just need to start deporting people, because I think the message will get out there that this stuff, it’s over. The game is over. It’s time to come back to normalcy. And let’s start at least getting rid of the criminals, which 95% of the people absent Democratic Party agree with is get rid of the criminals, get rid of the dangerous people. And it still surprises me that these sanctuary cities are still fighting and they’re fighting to keep criminals in the community because it’s more important for them to be shown as fighting against Donald Trump than it is to put the safety of their citizens ahead of their political agenda, which is so shameful. But it’s all going to end. But I think remain in Mexico should be number one. The easiest thing to do with just a stroke of a pen and then start on the other stuff.”
