Bible sales are booming!

Does this mean America is having a true “come to Jesus moment?”

Goods are still far too expensive in Joe Biden’s economy but there is one thing the American people are willing to drop some dollars on, bibles!

According to Circana Book Scan, US bible sales have rocketed up by 22% through October compared to the same period last year. 

In fact, in the first 10 months of 2024, bible sales have exceeded 13.7 million. And get this, many of these sales have been made by first time bible buyers!

And this boom isn’t book-wide, overall print book sales have grown less than 1% since last year.

So what accounts for this sudden interest in God’s holy word? 

One aspect could be social media influencers who are taking to their various platforms to declare their either newfound or newly resurrected interest in the bible, its stories, and faith as a whole. 

The number of Americans who consider themselves “Christian” clocks in at around 64%, down from 90% 50 years ago according to Pew Research. 

But perhaps this spike in sales will give way to a new generation of godliness, love, and light. 

Lord knows we need it!
