John O’Hurley, actor, author, comedian & game show host, joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss the impact of Donald Trump’s victory in Los Angeles and how California is changing politically among voters. O’Hurley addressed Joe Rogan saying many in the entertainment industry privately thanked him for endorsing Trump. O’Hurley was not surprised and said while peoole think of Hollywood as unilateral of political thought – that everybody’s like a lemming to the sea – that is not the case. O’Hurley pointed to a group he was involved with fellow actors such as Gary Sinise, Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, called “Friends of Abe” who lean conservative but mostly stay quiet when it comes to politics.
When O’Hurley was on Seinfeld he never realized Hollywood was liberal-leaning and he didn’t realize it until President Obama was elected. When asked if he lost work because of his politics, O’Hurley said he has, including very large endorsement contracts because the CEO’s found out he was a conservative and canceled the contracts. O’Hurley went on to say there is also the aspect of never knowing how many jobs he lost without knowing it over his politics and how he lost many friendships over his political beliefs.
