Democratic strategist and co-host of “The Five” Jessica Tarlov joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share her thoughts on what Vice President Kamala Harris could have done a little differently after the race was officially called for President-elect Trump earlier this week.
“I thought Kamala missed an opportunity even in defeat. Like, she should have called him at three in the morning before he came on stage because the first thing he would have said is, I just talked to Kamala. She was so gracious. She ran a great campaign and let’s make America Great Again or whatever. And she should have come out in the morning. And I remembered when Hillary lost, she conceded right away in the middle of the night, and she spoke to him and she said, would it be all right with you if I waited until tomorrow to make my speech? And he said, of course, babe. Like you were at my wedding. No problem. And I think that they could have had the same kind of exchange, and that it would have also set the tone for more of the resistance arm of my party. That, like, this is someone that if you treat him this way, odds are he’s going to treat you back the same way. And that goes for the good treatment. And I wish she had done it that way, but whatever. We’re moving on. And people are moving on faster, which I think is so great.”
Jimmy and Jessica also talk about Trump naming Susie Wiles as his White House chief of staff. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
