Martha MacCallum: Trump’s Viral McDonald’s Moment Was “Brilliant”

Martha MacCallum, executive editor and anchor of The Story on Fox News, and Fox News Politics co-anchor, joined The Guy Benson Show today to discuss Donald Trump’s humorous appearance at the Al Smith dinner and the notable absence of Kamala Harris from the campaign tradition, and MacCallum explained why Harris’  pre-recorded video message “fell a little flat” with the crowd at the dinner. Benson and MacCallum also discussed Bret Baier’s interview with Harris, the growing controversy surrounding 60 Minutes’ edits in their interview with Harris, and Trump’s viral McDonald’s moment. “Well, honestly, one of the best moments of this of this election cycle. Brilliant. I thought that when he laid out the window and waved at people that were leaving, I think he’s a person who likes to have fun. He seems more comfortable with, you know, what some people call regular folks than elite folks. And that’s the way he came off in that moment. I thought politically strategy was brilliant.”
