Senator James Lankford (R-OK) joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss Kamala Harris blaming Donald Trump for Republicans voting against the bipartisan border bill he helped write. Lankford finds it amazing Harris has suddenly tried to wrap his bill around her and say this was her great idea. Lankford says Harris and Biden created the problem and know how to fix the problem.
Lankford also weighed in on the FBI thwarting an Election Day terror plot by an Afghan citizen, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, who lives in Oklahoma with ties to ISIS. Lankford explained how Tawhedi had not been fully vetted through the process and gotten through the system. Lankford believes this is related to the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan President Biden led with people getting through the system not fully vetted.
Lankford also spoke about the potential of Republicans taking control of the senate and the senators who are jockeying to be the majority leader such as Senators Rick Scott, John Thune, John Cornyn and Mike Lee. Beyond the back and forth of what the potential Majority Leader will want, he believes some of the key things that need to be addressed are: Will they protect the filibuster? The ability to bring bills out for an amendment? And will they have a closed process where legislators are not able to actually legislate?
