While inflation in the United States has declined to a 3-year low, the Fed has not completely put out the fire: September’s CPI report revealed price pressures still came in slightly hotter than expected, with core inflation up.

Former President Trump has weighed in on the report and the jobs market as he’s been on the campaign trail just a few short weeks before Election Day, speaking to Americans frequently about the economy. It’s the top issue for voters and one that the polls say the former President has an advantage on.
