Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss how Israel has responded since the October 7th attacks, the latest with Russia & Ukraine and the status of race relations in America. Rice says what Israel is doing against Hezbollah is unbelievable, going after these proxies of Iran and showing they can reestablish the deterrence that failed on October 7th. Rice has issues with the leaks from our government over what the Israelis should and should not do in their campaign against Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. Rice believes the United States and the Biden administration should be less fulsome in advice to Israel and especially not debate in newspapers what the Israelis may or may not do.

On Ukraine’s fight against Russia, Rice said we have to remember the Ukrainians are fighting for their democracy, freedom and their sovereignty. Rice pointed out that Ukraine hasn’t asked us to send a single soldier, they just asked us to give them the means to fight for themselves and we should be doing that.

Rice also discussed race relations compared to four years ago. Rice believes we are in a better place now than a few years ago while still acknowledging we have problems around issues of race, particularly race and poverty. Rice hopes people are coming back to a more balanced view of America. When asked what advice she would have for Kamala Harris when dealing with people who have a problem with her race and gender, Rice responded, “Just go do your job, don’t worry about if somebody looks a little bit askance.” Rice added, “If people think that you’re less, let that be their problem, not your problem.”
