Florida Republican Congressman Byron Donalds joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to talk about the significance of former President Trump’s trip down to Georgia to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
“You have to get out on the ground immediately. Look going back, and we can go back to Hurricane Katrina, because I think that’s where you started to see this shift in how the president is supposed to respond. For whatever the reasons, George W Bush wasn’t on the ground soon enough. And the iconic picture of him looking from the plane window. And there was so many issues with Katrina on a local level at the state level. But him not getting on the ground created problems for him. You look at what Donald Trump is doing, he’s now on the ground in Georgia. I would tell him in the team, make sure they get to North Carolina. There’s some serious devastation. Not to say there’s no devastation in Georgia or in Florida, but there’s serious devastation in North Carolina as well. But where is Kamala Harris? Where’s Joe Biden, for that matter?”
