Republicans Might Like to Lose?

Nebraska had the ability to help Donald Trump win the election but a REPUBLICAN state senator stood in the way.

For those unfamiliar, Nebraska divides its electoral votes by congressional district, instead of winner-take-all. 

The Republican-controlled legislature had the power to call a special legislative session and change that- a move that would surely hand Trump another electoral vote- but Republican state senator Mike McDonnell stood in the way. 

In a letter to his colleagues, McDonnell wrote, “”After deep consideration, it is clear to me that right now, 43 days from Election Day, is not the moment to make this change.”

THIS is why Republicans- as a party- struggle to win winnable elections. Republicans are unwilling to play the game like Democrats and that’s cute and noble and all that, but it’s why we keep losing.

Do you think a Democrat-controlled legislature would EVER pass up the opportunity to help a Democrat win the White House?
