MacCallum had this to say on Kamala Harris skipping the Al Smith dinner:

“I’ve attended the dinner for years and for the past few and including this year coming up in October… it’s a very important night… it draws a huge group of all across these economic stratas and Americans. So I think it’s a huge mistake and it’s a big diss and it’s a tradition breaker, and I think it’s a mistake. She’s down about ten points with Catholic voters in the latest polling. So this is a group she should be speaking to.”
