NYC Goes Down the Reparations Path
Just when you thought New York City couldn’t find any more ways to waste taxpayer dollars, they’ve added another!

Just when you thought New York City leaders couldn’t possibly find news ways to waste money, they’ve done it!
The New York City Council approved legislation to study the impacts of slavery and consider a reparations plan to correct it.
The bill still needs Mayor Eric Adams’ signature but City Hall has already signaled support.
If signed, the set of bills would direct the city’s Commission on Racial Equity to come up with remedies to the legacy of slavery but would also create a “truth and reconciliation process” to establish historical facts about slavery in the state.
So basically, the city will waste money and resources on a commission and then potentially waste more money passing out taxpayers dollars to folks based solely on race.
Wow, what could go wrong?!
There’s no question blue city leaders will waste your money, the only question is why taxpayers keep voting for it!
This is yet another worthless AND expensive virtue signal.
Congratulations NYC, you’ll be bankrupt in no time!
