Trump OKAY with Recreational Weed in FL

Donald Trump signaled support for recreational marijuana in Florida.

Is this a smart move?

I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.

Donald Trump seemingly supports a constitutional amendment legalizing recreational marijuana in his home state of Florida.

In a Truth social post, Trump said Floridians should not be criminalized for personal amounts of marijuana when its use is legal in so many states.

He went on to say the state does not need to waste taxpayer dollars prosecuting people for personal amounts of marijuana or ruin lives in the process.

The proposed Amendment 3 will be on the ballot in November and if passed, will allow adults over 21 to legally buy and use the drug without a medical card. The cut off for possession would be no more than 3 ounces for personal use. Growing independently would remain illegal.

In his post, Trump noted that the substance should still be banned in public spaces to protect people from smelling it everywhere.

Look, while I am not a fan of weed and don’t like the idea of widespread recreational use, this is a smart move on Trump’s part.

Although he’d likely win the state either way, a more lenient stance on marijuana is strategically and electorally wise.
