DNC Day 1: President Biden’s Swan Song
President Biden closed out the first night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, touting the accomplishments he achieved during his administration with his Vice President, Kamala Harris. It was a night of thanks for many of the speakers, like Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and more, who directed gratitude to President Biden for withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race while heaping praise on their new Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris. The night was an important one to demonstrate President Biden passing the torch to a new generation while still keeping Biden’s loyal supporters voting blue in November. FOX News Radio’s Josh Kraushaar and Jared Halpern joined the Rundown to analyze the most influential moments from day one of the DNC.
Former President Trump has been hard at work counterprogramming the DNC with rallies and campaign events of his own, hitting key battleground states like Arizona, Nevada, and North Carolina. 2024 offers an advantageous Senate map for Republicans, and both parties are stressing the importance of winning control of Congress. Former Republican Congressman Mike Rogers is running in a crucial senate race in Michigan, where he faces Democratic Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin. Mike Rogers joins the podcast to explain how he and former President Trump align on the issues and why he blames the fiscal irresponsibility in Washington on the Democrats.
