Questions remain surrounding the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. While it seems some media outlets have moved past the tragic event, Congress has pushed forward with a bipartisan task force investigating the failures that occurred on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania. While a motive for the shooting remains unclear, the focus has turned to the Secret Service’s actions and inability to secure the perimeter of the presidential candidate’s rally. Head of the Congressional task force Congressman Mike Kelly (R-PA-16) joins the Rundown to discuss what it was like being present at the rally where former President Trump was nearly killed, what answers the task force is looking for, and what can be done to prevent something like this in the future.
