Free Press Columnist, Eli Lake joined Brian to discuss Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris‘ campaign, lack of press conferences and how Americans are attempting to wrap their head around how Harris is even allowed to be positioned as the nominee following President Biden dropping out of the race. Lake questions who is making the decisions on the future of the Democratic party, “What did know and when did know about Joe Biden’s mental condition?”

Lake believes Trump will win in November, that most Americans are not focused on Harris’ social media marketing campaign or Senator JD Vance‘s cat-lady comments and that Americans are focused on real issues. Lake says that the point of a primary is where a candidates discuss their policies and that is what the Democrats deprived Americans of and for some, the debates are now the only time people can hear Harris’ or former President Trump’s policies.

Lake has noted that Harris has not explained any of her policies since taking the Democratic nomination and she needs to tell voters why she has flip-flopped on certain policies, like fracking. “People aren’t really going to believe her position on fracking,” says Lake, referencing voters in Pennsylvania. Lake says that Harris’ campaign has came out and reiterates what her policies are, yet Harris has refused to do that herself which is an issue.

On Harris’ running-mate selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Lake warns that “all the wrong people are celebrating Tim Walz,” referring to Senator Bernie Sanders and Senator Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez contributing and to putting their hand in President Biden’s exit.
