Presidential Race Heats Up, As Global Tensions Flare

Vice President Harris and former President Trump have hit the campaign trail, appearing in key swing states such as Georgia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania as the race heats up. The two have worked to distinguish themselves to voters, with the former President attacking Vice President Harris’ more liberal record, and Vice President Harris calling the former President a ‘threat to democracy’. Overseas, Israel is facing increased threats by Iran after they eliminated Hamas’ political leader. More Americans are choosing not to have children, and the country is starting to feel the economic impact. A new Pew Research study shows that one-in-five adults over fifty haven’t had kids, and nearly half of U.S. adults under fifty don’t want to. One major reason for their decision is that many people cannot afford it, with one child costing an average of 233,000 dollars during the first 18 years of their life. Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi joins to break down the financial pressures young Americans face, why a population decline will negatively impact the United States, and how corporations need to adapt to the trend.
