Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Wheatley joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss the fundamentals of former President Donald Trump’s 2024 Presidential campaign amidst President Biden dropping out of the race and Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent ‘flip-flopping’ on her policies. “The fundamentals of this race are absolutely the same,” says Wheatley and reinforces that Trump needs to go out and tell the voters that he is simply better than Kamala Harris; “the fundamentals don’t change because the American voters care about, the southern border. They care about the economy. They care about our standing in the world. And President Trump outpolls Kamala on every single one of those.”
Despite Harris gaining the momentum as of late and will continue to do so with her running-mate yet to be announced and the Democratic National Convention coming up soon, the campaign’s goal is to be on the offensive. Trump “is going to focus on the battleground states” and that it comes down to strengthening the southern border, securing the economy, and securing America’s standing in the world. Wheatley also asserts that Trump’s campaign does want to debate Kamala Harris at some point.
