On Saturday July 13th, the nation stood still as news broke of an assassination attempt on former President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Mere moments after President Trump took the stage at a rally there, shots were fired from the top of a roof nearby, striking the former President’s right ear, killing a local firefighter, Corey Comperatore, and injuring two others.
The shooter, later identified by the FBI as 20-year-old, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed on the scene by United State Secret Service.
