Fleischer had this to say on the optics and expectations of Biden’s “big boy” presser:
“Oh hell no. I mean, it it is demeaning, and frankly, I’d be surprised if it is a ‘big boy’ news conference. I’m expecting a medium boy news conference tonight. It won’t be for just 1 or 2 questions with a foreign leader, but I don’t think it’s going to be a 45 minute to 1 hour affair where the president takes, you know, a dozen, 15 questions. I bet you they’re going to try to finesse it and have them in and out in about ten minutes, if they can get away with it… I just think if you’re Joe Biden now, you need to get on the field, get a hit and get off the field. You don’t want to be caught on the bases.”
