Closing The Cold Case Murder Of Estella Mena

All her life, Estella Mena was a guardian to those she loved. Driven, diligent, and fierce, the high school senior worked as a security guard at an office building in Sunnyvale, California. But on October 27th, 1979, Estella had no one to protect her but herself. While working her job, a man entered the office, attempted to sexually assault her, and stabbed her to death. For over 40 years, her murder went unsolved.

Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Detective Matt Hutchison details the many twists and turns of Estella’s case, even sharing why he became a trash collector for a day to uncover answers.
