Evening Edition: Army Veteran Seeks Gold In Paralympics
After the September 11th attacks, Bobby Body enlisted in the U.S. Army and while deployed in Iraq was struck by an IED. Body underwent over twenty surgeries but was still forced to amputate his left leg at the knee. He now represents the United States Paralympic team in powerlifting and is eying the gold in the Paralympics in Paris this September.
FOX’s John Saucier speaks with Bobby Body, Army veteran United States Paralympian, who shares with us the pride he feels representing his country in the games the support he has received from numerous veteran organizations, including Semper Fi & America’s Fund.
