Co-host of “The Big Money Show” on Fox Business Taylor Riggs joins Fox Across America With guest host Paul Gleiser to shed light on how inflation is impacting your Fourth of July barbeque staples.
“Guess how much your hamburger is costing you more this year than it did last year? Fifty-five percent. Which is why I’m a vegetarian. I can’t afford that, 55% higher for a burger. And that’s not including your bun. That’s just the meat. How much higher is your bun costing you this year? Forty-five percent. You do a side of of potato salad? For a couple pounds, you just went up from $3.65 to $4.19. That is a 14% increase. Your lemonade is up 20 percent. Your pork chops, if you’re one of those, are up 33 percent. Your chicken is up 16 percent. So all of this is that since 2021, we’re up 19 percent for all of these items combined. It’s not good. This is the anger and this is the sadness. I’m super optimistic because I am so pro-American. But tomorrow people are feeling it at the grocery store.”
