Patagonia Gives Remote Workers an Ultimatum

Outdoor brand Patagonia is dropping the hammer on remote work.

I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.

We are a good three years out of the COVID era, it’s beyond time to get back to reality.

Apparently the outdoor brand Patagonia agrees.

In a notice to 90 of their customer service employees, the company has issued an ultimatum, move within 60 miles of one of the 7 company hubs, or you’re out the door.

Patagonia has hubs in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Reno and Salt Lake City.

Most of the employees who make up the 250 member customer service team already live near the Reno hub, but the holdouts will have to either relocate or face unemployment.

Patagonia will be flexible with employees who need more time to relocate, but the deadline to agree to moving is September 30.

I personally don’t think it’s an unreasonable ask, at all.

It’s not a pandemic anymore. It’s time to get back to the office and Patagonia isn’t even mandating that, just live within 60 miles!
